The dry winter months (May to September) are generally considered the best time for wildlife viewing in South Africa. During this period, vegetation is less dense, making animals easier to spot, and they tend to gather around water sources. However, summer months (November to February) offer lush landscapes and excellent bird watching opportunities.

Yes, many of our safaris are family-friendly. We recommend certain lodges and reserves that cater specifically to families, with special activities for children. Age restrictions may apply for certain activities like walking safaris. Our Pilanesberg and malaria-free Eastern Cape safaris are particularly popular with families.

We recommend lightweight, neutral-colored clothing (beige, khaki, olive), a wide-brimmed hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, insect repellent, comfortable walking shoes, a light jacket or fleece (even in summer, mornings can be cool), binoculars, and camera equipment. A detailed packing list will be provided with your booking confirmation.

While South Africa doesn't require vaccinations for entry, we recommend consulting your healthcare provider about routine vaccinations before travel. If you plan to visit regions like Kruger National Park, malaria prophylaxis may be advised. Many of our safari destinations, including Pilanesberg and reserves in the Eastern Cape, are malaria-free.

Our safari packages typically include accommodation, meals, game drives with professional guides, park entrance fees, and transfers specified in the itinerary. International flights, travel insurance, gratuities, and personal expenses are generally not included. Each safari itinerary clearly outlines what's included and excluded.
